Kate described Hartlepool Sixth Form as inspiring, enjoyable and life-changing. While studying at the College, she participated in an extra-curricular performing arts enrichment on Wednesday afternoons. After finishing her studies at HSFC, she earned a degree in Contemporary Acting at Newcastle College. She now owns her own company specialising in the teaching of performing arts.
She said: “I chose to study at Hartlepool Sixth Form because I wanted to do Performing Arts. After attending a trial week, I knew it was the place for me. I thoroughly enjoyed the course content, the environment and the atmosphere.
What I liked best was the Performing Arts faculty. The course was fantastic, my tutors were inspiring and encouraging, and the sense of teamwork within the Performing Arts department was amazing to be a part of. I was at the college for 4 years and loved being a part of the dramatic productions each year.
The best thing about the course was my tutor Vicky. I truly believe I would not be where I am today without her guidance, something which has continued long after my time at sixth form), for which I am very grateful.
In terms of the facilities I think it’s the perfect establishment and atmosphere to transition from school to further education. In a performing arts sense, the facilities have only got better, and it’s been fantastic to see.”
